|
Established in 1996 by
Dr. C.L.Patel, the visionary Chairman of Charutar Vidhya Mandal (CVM) with the aim
of imparting quality education in the emerging areas of Science and Applied Science,
Natubahi V. Patel College of Pure and Applied Sciences (NVAPS) has gone on to become
one of the top-notch premier institutes across the nation in a short span since
its inception. NVPAS, an English medium - self financed college, boasts an astounding
concourse of state-of-the-art infrastructure, highly qualified academicians, holistic
approach to education and techno-scientific ambience. Resultantly, in addition to
being certified by IS0 9001:2000 for benchmarking quality standards, NVPAS is
the only self-financed college across the state to enjoy UGC section 2(f) and (12)
B registration.

AFFILIATION: |
|
The college is affiliated to Sardar Patel University and it
is the only self-financed college across the state of
Gujarat, which is recognized by University Grants
Commission (UGC) under UGC act2(f) and 12(B). |

TEACHING STAFF: |
|
Teaching staff consists of duly qualified,
competent and experienced teachers of
which 40% are with Ph.D. degree.
College faculty members are actively
engaged in research as a result of which
presently three Major Research
Projects are going on in the areas
of Environmental Science and
Microbiology at the College along with nine Minor Research Projects
sanctioned by UGC, New Delhi.

WEEKLY AND INTERNAL
ASSESSMENT: |
The College conducts Practice Test
every week on Saturday to measure the
understanding and retention level of
students in terms of what is taught to
them in classes. Moreover, these tests
keep the students on the alert
throughout the year regarding their
studies and help them to gauge and
analyze their academic growth.
Apart from Practice Tests, the college
conducts two lnternal Tests per course
in every academic year. Average marks
of two tests are counted as the lnternal
Marks. If a student does not appear in
any one of the lnternal Tests on medical
or any other justifiable grounds, it is
compulsory for himlher to appear in the
Arrear Test, which is conducted after the
completion of two lnternal Tests, to
safeguard himselflherself from a
possible detention. |

COUNSELING SYSTEM: |
|
NVPAS Counseling is a unique,
interactive and target-oriented system,
involving students, teachers and
parents, resolved to accomplish
optimum educational goals by making
the process of graduation smooth and
rewarding for students. It specifically
seeks to addresses common student
concerns ranging from anxiety, stress,
fear of change and failure to
homesickness and a slew of academic
worries by bridging the formal as well as
communicative gaps between the
studentsand the institution at large. Counselors are trained to act as
the guardians of the students at the
college level to make up for the absence
of their parents. They remain in close
touch with the students allotted to them
though out the year, cater to their
emotional and intellectual needs and
convey their growth report and
feedback, academic or otherwise, to
their parents at regular interval of time. |

INTERNAL MARKS: |
|
Candidates should have obtained 15 %
marks in the individual heads of passing
and 25 % marks in the aggregate of all
the heads of passing at internal tests
conducted by the college. Candidates
who do not fulfill the above mentioned
requirement on internal marks will be
detained from appearing in the
University Examination. |

ENTRANCE EXAM PREPARATION CELL (EEPC): |
|
EEPC is an initiative to make the
studentsof NVPAS
competent & competitive to clear
Entrance Exams for securing admission
in various P.G. Courses like
M.Sc. Biotechnology, Microbiology,
Biochemistry, Bioinformatics etc. at a
few of India's most premier institutes like
IIT, llSc Bangalore, TlFR Mumbai and
some Central Universities through JNU
Combine Entrance Exam (CEE) for
M.Sc. Biotechnology. In the history of
